Candid Conversations is our newest series at Abrahamic House, created with the intention of providing a space for meaningful discussions on topics that impact our communities. This series is designed to allow us to slow down, share a meal together, and engage in conversations with the goal of learning from one another. These dinners will be small and intimate, with only 10 guests per event. We select participants intentionally to ensure a diverse representation of racial, religious, ethnic, and other backgrounds.
This month the fellows and their guests discussed hope and resilience. The past year has been filled with rising fascism, economic decline and polarization. Everyone shared about their individual practice in cultivating hope. Many discussed how faith helps guide them in times of sociopolitical tension. Esma cooked delicious Turkish food, which was enjoyed by all. Thank you so much to everyone who attended and shared!
