Abrahamic House DC and Moishe House Columbia Heights celebrated New Year’s Eve and the Jewish New Year a bit early.
Decked out with streamers, balloons and noisemakers, this premature party had traditional Rosh Hashanah foods like apples, honey, dates, and Austen’s famous round honey challah. They also had sparklers, party favors, and plenty of snacks and libations to celebrate the Jewish New Year early!
Rosh Hashanah marks the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve and the beginning of the Jewish High Holidays – so all attendees were on best behavior as the fate of the righteous and wicked are recorded during this time, according to Jewish tradition. It was such a treat to have our current fellows and all of our 2022 fellows in attendance!
