Ellen Garfinkle

Ellen grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked for the past year at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, helping to educate and mobilize Reform Jewish communities around important policy issues, such as immigration and the separation of church and state. Ellen is especially interested in the intersections of religion and politics and working on progressive policymaking in the South. Outside of Ellen’s professional life, she can’t remember a time in her life where she wasn’t singing or performing. She also has recently perfected her hummus-making skills and is eager to check more states and countries off her travel list. Ellen is super excited to be a part of Abrahamic House and continue learning from and connecting with interfaith communities in DC!
