Sarah’s experiences in international exchanges in Panama and Egypt have fueled her passion for “gathering not othering.” She believes that connecting with people different from oneself is one of life’s most meaningful experiences. A linguaphile, Sarah speaks Spanish and Egyptian Arabic. She holds an M.A. in International Peace Conflict Studies from American University and a B.S. in International Affairs/Political Science from Florida State University. Currently, she directs an international exchange program and has experience as a mediator, interpreter, and language instructor.
Originally from Spokane, Washington, Sarah was a member of the Spokane Interfaith Council. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and playing the piano. She joined the Abrahamic House team in 2024 as the Fellowship Advisor.
