Xochi Cartland

Xochi is a published poet, seamstress, and transformative justice practitioner who grew up in the DMV. Her work has appeared in Common Ground Review, Little Patuxent Review, Muzzle Magazine, and elsewhere, as well as supported with fellowships from National Arts Strategies and Brooklyn Poets. She graduated from Brown University in 2021 with a degree in Literary Arts and has since returned to DC where she works at George Mason University. Through her work, Xochi has seen the importance of interfaith programming, and hopes to spend her time at Abrahamic House creating spaces where we can all be a little more free.
