Sacred Cleansing Rituals Across Faiths and Cultures

Sunday, April 6th

REGISTER

As we step into spring, many cultures and faiths mark transitions with cleansing rituals—acts that refresh the body, mind, and spirit. Whether it’s wudu in Islam, immersing in a Mikveh in Judaism, a limpia in Mexican indigenous tradition, or [Gambian], these practices offer a way to reset, reflect, and reconnect.

This gathering will be a space to share and learn about the deeper meanings behind these traditions and how they continue to shape people’s lives today. We’ll also have materials for you to make your own cleansing goodie bag with sage, lavender, palo santo, and other elements used in different traditions. To close, one of our community members will lead a short exercise to help us enter spring with a sense of clarity and renewal.

Date: Sunday, April 6th
Time: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Address will be provided in the confirmation email.

Light refreshments will be provided.
